Got an email this morning from Travelzoo, an online newsletter I subscribe to that sends out some really great travel offers.
Now, I’m no travel agent but don’t you think $29 is a little steep to fly one way from Boston to Boston?

But, maybe that’s just me.
I wonder, if you fly Boston to Boston, if you actually get up in the air and do a circle around or just get the experience of going through security, waiting and sitting in a leather seat while your bag gets loaded on and taken off?
Dang – I just got on the JetBlue site to book tickets to DC. I was looking for fares online a few days ago and I was coming up with $400+pp. I’ll keep looking.
But your story reminded me of a travel agent story of my own. We lived overseas at the time (lat ’90’s), and dh’s work brought us to Boston once a year and allowed us two additional stops to visit family, but we had to use the work travel dept to make the arrangements. The travel agent had us fly from Boston to Laguardia with TWO STOPS. She got all bent out of shape when I objected. I never found out where the stops were, but I refused to fly with two kids, two car seats and two strollers AND two stops!
Yes, I would say that is a little steep.
I just hopped over from somewhere…saw your blog title and had to visit. I travel a lot. That price sounds about right : ) And of course luggage will be an additional $25.
Have a great weekend!
